Back in Town

We just returned from three weeks of Woden-celebrating, family-visiting, cookie-eating fun and we are ready for a nap. Unfortunately, our return coincided with a major storm and we spent the past 12 hours without power. So here's to home, sweet home, and volts, sweet volts!

Return of the (newlywed) Dragon

Well, newish, anyway.

We've returned from our fabulous, wonderful, gelato-normous honeymoon to Europe! We had a really great time and didn't kill each other even once. We spent time in London, Scotland and Rome (and environs). We ate magnificently, museumed relentlessly and enjoyed a variety of transportation options. We were attacked by the Underground, delayed by TrenItalia and thwarted by British Airways (but only a little).

And now our voyages have ended, the eternal sunshine of Northern California is adopting its fall hue, and the great spiked wheel of graduate school is thundering ominously forward once again.

Except our voyages haven't ended--through no fault of our own, we find ourselves planning a series of serious trips in the coming months, God help us. One day, ONE DAY--I will find some way to use some frequent flyer miles.
